The sign of a real Leicester Lions fan was the prominent display of an enamelled supporters badge below which was strung a lengthy series of alternating red and yellow year bars. The longer the yardage of year bars the more committed and worldly wise the fan. Many button badges, plastic barges, sew-on badges and stickers were also available, but it is the enamel badges that were the ones to be seen with.
